The companies associated to ABIMO and which are part of the Brazilian Health Devices Project, performed by the association in partnership with Apex-Brasil, attended from September 29th to October 2nd Dental Expo, main trade show of dental products in Russia held annually in Moscow, between.
This was the second participation of the project companies in the event, which is in its 35th edition. The Brazilian pavilion featured ten companies: Baumer; Biodinâmica; Bionnovation; DFV; Gnatus; Loktal; Maquira; Real Odontológica; Titanium Fix and VIPI. The last participation of the Brazilian pavilion was on 2012, with five companies.
The Russian market is interesting to Brazilian industries because it is extremely dependent on imports. According to data collected by ABIMO, over 80% of products for health and dentistry come from outside the country, due to lack of local production.
The Brazilian pavilion exhibitors were pleased with the participation. Eduardo Scarchetti, foreign trade manager of Biodinâmica, the event served as a gateway to the Russian market. "We were negotiating with a distributor, and during the event we were able to better understand the local businesses," said.
Sergio Escobar, sales manager of VIPI also aims to good results for the future. "There were great contacts, and certainly there will be deals closed after the event." Leandro Real, coordinator of import and export of DFV, commended the location of the companies in the trade fair. "Fantastic, and it provided great exposure to the pavilion and businesses," celebrates.
This year there had been nearly US$ 100,000 in closed deals during the fair in addition to 379 contacts made with potential clients from countries like Russia (mostly), Japan, Armenia, Slovenia, South Korea, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Moldova, Ukraine, Poland and Belarus. For the next 12 months resulting from the exhibition, business expectations are around US$ 1 million.
